Hello E/everyone,

I wanted to ask for peoples views and experiences on Abrasion and techniques. I only came across the term recently and assumed it meant cutting but apparantly not so any info would be helpful
Thanks

Abrasion is anything that scratches or irritates the skin. Sandpaper, tongues, sand, hair, air, anything that causes irritation.

Generally for me it irritates and annoys...but it works great as a contrast between tickling.

Sandpaper?

Abrasion is also used to remone layers of skin (usually by a cosmetic surgeon). It is sometimes called skin pealing or dermabrasion (I I immagine from its name they peal or grind away the dermis) and is parf of the "Beauty Treatment" done by the cosmetic surgeons. Not a subject I'm up on though (I'll just settle for getting more rugged as I get older). Many people actually do a form of self abrasion when you use skin scrubbs it a loofa. I dont suggest you try the more drastic methods or use a power sander or angle grinder.

Everyone else is on target. Just wanted to add an abrasion is a medical term for the word scratch. That may give you a bit more insight.

Need a few materials for abrasion play:
1 willing-ish subject
4 5' lengths of sturdy rope
1 sheet of light grain sandpaper
1 clitorous or other appropriate erogenous zone
patience and a tolerance for wiggling. (Or at least a plan to deal with it.)

In service,
(Because I just live to serve...)

I adore abrasion. I'm tactile undersensitive so moderate-heavy abrasion really works well for me as a form of sensation play. Feathers? Pfft! Sandpaper? YAY!!!

Abrasion can produce scratches or burns (think rug burns, those are caused by abrasion) amd dripping hot candle wax on abraded areas is very yummy in a stingy-painful kind of way. You can do abrasion with virtually anything. I've even had Tops use floggers for abrasion by holding the falls and rubbing it across a nicely pinked-up back or ass. Thinks like sandpaper, spice graters, finger nails, those scratchy shower mitts, dental probes, knives....*sigh* I could go on and on but I'll stop there.

Side note on safety:

Using pressurized air (yes I know that's not what you said but the point should still be made ;-) can be lethal.

It can potentially put an air bubble into your blood stream which goes to your heart then you have a heart attack. Not so much fun.

I have also heard that you should not blow air into a woman's vagina for a similar reason, although I don't know why that is different than having sex while air is in her vagina (certain positions inevitiably make this happen - I won't get into the humor side of this :-).

The partner who introduced me to abraision play used lots of things i wouldn't have associated with it..not just sandpaper, but also those plastic and metal scrubbie things used in pot cleaning, cold pieces of metal or ice over those "scratches" and he also used a velvet glove (minus the tacks). He created an interesting contract between items, and since i was blindfolded i never knew what was coming next. What fun!! LOL

cheers

i've have abrasion play. Some of the things used were: sandpaper - toothbrush- fingernail scrub brush- cheese grater- wire brush used on the grill. And Yes hot wax dripped on the area, Ooh the sting. I also loved alcohol wiped all over those tender raw areas, that was awesome ( i love alcohol)
