whoof. and if i were a vanilla mother or school board member, i might have wondered about the implication of the term "whipped" in this case. isn't it a shortened version of "pu**y whipped?" should that have been in there at all? it doesn't seem inappropriate to me racially, especialy as it was all in fun, and they probably do not look at the collar and leash the way people in our lifestyle do. if they were aware of the BDSM dynamic, would it have been more appropriate for a yearbook to have the girl administering an OTK spanking? prolly not. but if one focuses only on the racial complaints, a different depiction of D/s would be fine? please don't get me wrong. i am all for mainstream acceptance and understanding of what it is we do. i just wonder if a school yearbook, which will edit out all instances of students raising a certain finger in class pictures, is appropriate for depicting kink. i have said since i was young: "if there is no one around to be offended, then it is not offensive." meaning, i will cuss like a trucker with my friends, or around truckers, but if anyone starts cussing around my grandmom... no way! there is a time and a place for everything.
